Greetings! I hope everyone has found time to relax and enjoy the lazy days of summer before the craziness of conferences, earnings calls and analyst days begin. My fellow board members and I are excited to kick-off the 2021-2022 Chapter year with our first in-person event since February 2020. If you haven’t already done so, please register to attend our upcoming networking event on Wednesday, September 15. We are looking forward to getting together with old friends and meeting new members - - outside of a Zoom call!
We have an exceptionally strong board this year. Now that several new volunteers have been appointed to the board, we have a robust board comprised of 10 IROs with various levels of professional experience in diverse industries and all size of market caps. Over the summer, this new board had its first in-person meeting where we strategically collaborated on a calendar of programs that we believe will be of great interest to our members.
Last year we successfully held numerous insightful and engaging programs through Zoom that reached a broader audience, and this year we are planning to take a hybrid approach to deliver programs to our members. We intend to host one in-person event per quarter and, to ensure the safety of our members, we will follow all NIRI National and CDC Safety guidelines.
