Investor Relations plays an integral role in addressing ESG topics with the financial community. We know consensus views all too well, but we should become informed on contrarian perspectives. Additionally, we are now in the midst of a potential heavy lift for SEC reporting guidelines on Global Climate Change. Are companies moving too fast or not fast enough?

Join us for a fascinating presentation and conversation with a thoughtful subject matter expert, Dr. Steven E. Koonin, who has spent his career analyzing the science and communications around climate change. His deep knowledge, leadership and sometimes contrarian views provide A Different Perspective on Global Climate Change – one that IROs should be aware of.

NIRI Philadelphia Members who register for this event will receive a signed copy of Dr. Koonin’s best-selling book Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What it Doesn’t, and Why it Matters. Noted for his ability to convey complex subjects with clarity, Dr. Koonin has advocated for a more accurate, complete, and transparent public representation of climate and energy matters. Walk away more informed about: “Who is driving the narrative? What does the science/data tell us? Is there a more balanced approach to take in addressing it? Is there potential harm in addressing global climate change by rapid adoption of disruptive technologies?”
