The NIRI Virtual Chapter is proud to continue our collaboration with IR Impact (formerly IR Magazine) to present this program. For many years, we've brought together a group of recent IR Impact Award winners to share their insights. On December 10, you will hear from two panelists representing the top of our profession – Rebecca Gardy of Campbell’s and Stephanie (Steph) Wissink of Walmart. Join our moderator, Laurie Havelock, of IR Impact, as we explore best practices the award winners have implemented, case studies on program evolution, annual IR planning, and some of the lessons that these IROs have learned in their roles leading IR programs.

Rebecca Gardy

Rebecca Gardy is a dynamic, award-winning financial executive with more than 20 years of experience shaping market perception and driving valuation for publicly traded and high-growth companies. A trusted strategic advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and Boards, she is recognized for transforming complex business and financial narratives into clear, compelling stories that strengthen investor confidence and create shareholder value.

Rebecca currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Investor Relations Officer at The Campbell’s Company, where she leads all investor and financial communications with equity analysts and investors and has guided the organization through major transformations, including leadership transitions, a listing-exchange change, and key M&A and capital allocation initiatives. Her career spans leadership roles at GreenSky, SecureWorks, Nike, Popeyes, and global financial institutions, with a consistent record of elevating credibility, expanding investor bases, and delivering best-in-class communication strategies.

A bilingual leader with global perspective, Rebecca has been recognized for excellence in investor relations —most recently earning the 2025 IR Impact Award for Best Investor Day—and serves on multiple nonprofit boards. She holds an MBA from Emory University, a BS in Applied Economics from Cornell University and holds the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) designation from the National Investor Relations Institute.

 

Stephanie Wissink

Vice President, Investor Relations
Walmart

Stephaie "Steph" Wissink is Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Walmart, where she leads investor outreach efforts for Walmart Inc. and is responsible for strategic financial communications and events. Steph joined Walmart in October 2022 after a 20+ year career as a sell side research analyst at firms including Piper Sandler [formerly Piper Jaffray] and Jefferies. Over her tenure, Steph covered retail, consumer goods, beauty, entertainment, pet and consumer health companies. She built her research practice on a combination of proprietary insights, on the ground observations, alternative data, and immersive experiences, which earned her several prestigious awards and recognition during her career. Steph is known by many investors and companies for her work in developing and scaling Piper Sandler’s “Taking Stock With Teens” semi-annual research study, a view into youth culture that is still published and relied upon today. In 2022, WWD’s Beauty Inc. magazine named her Wall Street’s Sharpest Analyst.

He was previously assistant business editor at the Daily Telegraph and acting business and money editor at the i newspaper.
